A collective litany by the RHPNA leadership team

May our discipleship—our ways of following you—be born of our deepest longings
To become a people that live out of love.
In the desert, that is dry and weary, where our cups run dry
We open our hands to receive your grace, mercy, life, and love
That our lives become a safe place to encounter God
A place where love is experienced.
ALL: Lord, have mercy on us

God, we seek you to work on behalf of the RHPNA in making a safe space,
Where your power, glory, and love can be revealed to both our communities and the refugees present within and beyond.
ALL: Lord, hear our prayers

Lord, we confess that the RHPNA depends on you for our flourishing.
Help us root our identity in Jesus Christ.
ALL: Lord, have mercy on us

May the RHPNA be a prophetic voice in the midst of global suffering.
Help us have open, generous hearts to transform individuals, organizations, systems, and the church
Into the likeness of Christ through beholding and clinging to you.
ALL: Lord, have mercy on us

Your love is better than life.
Allow your love to be at the center of RHP work and leadership.
We seek You, not to merely solve problems, but because You are our God.
ALL: Lord, hear our prayers

Oh, Lord, may we be a network and community that embraces everyone.
May we show each other that we are not alone in doing the work God has called us to do.
May our faith posture bring comfort, friendship, and a sense of co-labouring together.
ALL: Lord, hear our prayers

God, give us unity of heart and purpose.
Show us what is needed for the year ahead and give us grace to join you in this work.
Help us to use limited resources well for your glory and for the building up of your church.
Use us to help spur your people on to love and good works.
Empower us to do YOUR will and fulfill YOUR vision.
ALL: Lord, hear our prayers

O God help us to know what to do NOW, in this season.
Remind us of our story—of how you have worked in our past.
May we lead now in such a way that for years to come your people will worship you through journeying in solidarity with forcibly displaced people and may that be a sign and foretaste of the new creation.
Rooted in the past and leaning into your future, may we lead in the NOW with humility and joy.
ALL: Lord, hear our prayers

And all God’s people said, AMEN.
